The window of 21–30 September 2026 opens with the SSC CGL 2026 machinery in full motion: the city intimation slip landed on 21–22 September, admit cards begin from 27 September, and Tier-I CBE itself starts on 30 September and runs into October. The SSC Selection Post Phase XIV exam, which began on 16 September, wraps up on 26 September, with the answer key and result to follow. On Railways, the RRB JE, DMS & CMA correction window closes on 25 September, while the newly opened RRB Paramedical (CEN 05/2026) drive continues to accept applications until 14 October. In banking, IBPS RRB CRP RRBs-XV originally closed on 21 September, but a corrigendum issued the same day extended the deadline to 27 September — candidates who had not yet applied got a six-day reprieve. On the State PSC front, the biggest development is that TNPSC has rescheduled the Group 1 (Notification 05/2026) preliminary exam from 6 September to 27 September 2026, with the admit card released on 17 September; UP PCS 2026 stays fixed for 6 December and Karnataka’s KAS Prelims remains tentatively set for 15 November. 1. SSC / CENTRAL GOVERNMENT – EXAM LIVE, ADMIT CARD & RESULT AWAITED

The city intimation slip for SSC CGL 2026 Tier-I was released on 21–22 September, letting candidates check their allotted exam city ahead of the exam. Admit cards begin rolling out from around 27 September, 2–3 days before each candidate’s shift. The Tier-I Computer-Based Exam itself opens on 30 September and continues in multiple shifts through 30 October, covering roughly 28–29 lakh applicants across 141 centres. The ongoing Computer-Based Exam, running since 16 September in three shifts a day, finishes on 26 September 2026, falling inside this window. Once the exam concludes, candidates should watch for the provisional answer key, followed by the objection window and then the result on SSC’s regional portals. Carry the printed admit card and a valid original photo ID for any remaining shifts; entry is allowed only after document verification at the centre.

The SSC CHSL 2026 application window, opened on 7 September, continues through this fortnight and stays open until 7 October 2026 (fee payment till 8 October, 11:00 PM). This is a carry-forward notification with no new update this week — candidates still completing their forms have just over two weeks left. Tier-I and Tier-II exam schedules are yet to be announced separately.

2. RAILWAYS – CORRECTION WINDOW CLOSES, PARAMEDICAL DRIVE CONTINUES

Applications for this 4,029-vacancy technical drive closed on 13 September, and the correction window that followed — open since 16 September – closes on 25 September 2026, falling squarely in this window. Corrections cost ₹250 each, and locked fields (name, DOB, mobile, email, RRB zone) cannot be edited. Candidates should verify all remaining details before the window shuts, since no further edits will be possible after 25 September.

This nine-category paramedical drive – Nursing Superintendent, Pharmacist, Radiographer and more — opened on 15 September and continues accepting applications through this window, with no new update this week. The window stays open until 14 October 2026 (23:59 hrs), so candidates still have close to three weeks. Selection remains CBT → Document Verification → Medical Examination, with pay from Level 3 to Level 7 (7th CPC).

3. BANKING – IBPS RRB DEADLINE EXTENDED MID-WINDOW

This drive was originally due to close on 21 September, right at the start of this window — but a corrigendum issued the same day extended online registration and fee payment by six days, to 27 September 2026. All other terms stand unchanged: the fee, vacancy count and the age/qualification cut-off date remain pegged to 21 September, even though the submission deadline moved. A post-closure correction window will follow at ₹200 per edit. Officer Scale-I prelims are tentatively set for 21–22 November, and Office Assistant prelims for 6, 12 & 13 December 2026.

Applications for this 2,482-vacancy drive closed on 7 September, before this tracker’s window began, and there is no fresh development this week. The Online Test date and admit card remain unannounced; candidates should keep checking the official careers page rather than expect any update in this window specifically.

4. STATE PSC – TNPSC GROUP 1 PRELIMS HELD THIS WINDOW

This is the standout State PSC development for the fortnight: TNPSC rescheduled the Group 1 preliminary exam from its earlier date of 6 September to 27 September 2026, via a notice dated 16 July. The admit card was released on 17 September, and the prelims itself — an OMR-based objective test from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM — was held at 38 district centres on 27 September, falling inside this window. Applications for this notification had already closed on 29 July; prelims marks are only a screening stage, with the mains and interview deciding the final merit.

UP PCS 2026 (UPPSC): the Preliminary Examination remains confirmed for 6 December 2026 per the Commission’s exam calendar; no new correction window or notification opened this fortnight. Karnataka Public Service Commission’s KAS Gazetted Probationers Recruitment 2026 (319 posts) stays closed for applications (closed 31 August), with prelims tentatively scheduled for 15 November 2026.
